AGMARK is a certification mark for agricultural produce, assuring that they conform to a grade standard notified by Directorate of Marketing & Inspection (DMI), Department of Agriculture, Cooperation and Farmers Welfare, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare under Agricultural Produce (Grading Marking) Act, 1937.The Agmark certification acts as a benchmark for quality and is equivalent to vouching for the authenticity of the products.
If you want to obtain Agmark registration on spices, you need to obtain the Certificate of Authorisation for the grading of spices. The same procedure mentioned above will be followed for the same.
(1) The person must have the necessary infrastructue to process the commodity.
(2) The person must have access to an approved laboratory for graing or must have their own laboratory
(3) If all these conditions are true then the person can apply for agmark license
