Hazardous Waste Export Authorisation must be obtained by exporters if they wish to export any of such waste mentioned in the Hazardous Waste Management Rules of 2016.The waste that is eligible for export from India is listed in Part A and B of Schedule III and Schedule VI and is permissible with prior authorisation from the MoEF&CC
(1) Metal and metal bearing waste and waste that comprises of alloys of- Antimony, Cadmium, Lead, Tellurium
(2) Waste with metal carbonyls
(3) Galvanic sludge
(4) Wastes Liquors from the pickling of metals
(5) Waste Zinc residues
(6) Waste Lead acid batteries whole or crushed
(7) Waste Electrical & electronic assembles or scrap containing, component
(8) Wastes containing principally inorganic constituents, which can contain metals & organic materials
(1) Anyone who intends to export hazardous waste shall make an application to the MoEF/SPCB.
(2) The MoEF/SPCB can give the permission for the proposed export.
(3) The state government will grant the NOC for export provided that the exporter submits a valid informed consent letter with authenticated copy from the concerned authority.
(4) For such certification, an actual user like recycler or trader both are eligible. On the basis of such certification provided by MOEF/SPCB, a trader can start exporting the hazardous wastes such as metal scrap or ferrous and non-ferrous scrap from India.
