Spices Board (Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India) is the main organization responsible for developing and global marketing of Indian spices. The Board acts as an international bridge between Indian exporters and importers from abroad. The Board is the main force behind efforts to improve the quality of Indian spices, which involves every business sector.

What is the Procedure Of Spice Board Registration?

(1) The Applicant firstly needs to register themselves under the governmental portal of the Spice Board of India. The Applicant is also needed to submit their Import - Export Code Certificate, contact number, and e–mail ID. Upon successful verification of the contact number and the e–mail ID, the Applicant would be directed for filing the application form.

(2) The details of the IE Code Certificate should be correctly submitted as the Spice Board issues the Certificate of Registration as an Exporter of Spices, also known as the CRES, in accordance with the IE Code Certificate. The Applicant is also required to submit all the other necessary documents as specified above.

(3) The Applicant is then required to submit the applicable fees as prescribed for the application form.

(4)For the purpose of evaluation and verification, all the documents are then sent to the applicable Regional Office authorised under the Spice Board. If any errors or faults are found in the documentation or the application form, the Applicant is immediately reverted for rectifying the errors and re–submitting the files again. When the documents are approved to be in order, it is forwarded for further processing to the HO. Upon completion of the processing of the documents, it is then forwarded back to the applicable Regional Office.

(5) After the details of the Applicant have been registered under the HO, the exporter is registered under the Spice Board, and the Certificate of Registration as an Exporter of Spices is issued.

Documents Required For Spice Board Registration?

(1) Application in the prescribed form (Form-1).

(2) Self-attested copy of IE (import-export) code. certificate.

(3) Registration fee in the form of crossed Demand Draft favoring “spice board”.

(4) Self certified copy of Partnership deed/ Memorandum and Articles of Association as the case may be.

(5) Self certified copies of GST registration certificate.

(6) Self attested certificate issued by directorate of industries in case of manufacturer-exporter of spices.

(7) Self certified copy of PAN card.

(8) Passport size photo with white background of CEO or the designated officer of your firm.
